Beth Thompson
Music
Beth Thompson grew up in Cape Girardeau, graduating from Central High School. She then
attended and graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX with a B.A. in
Elementary Education and a minor in music. While in Dallas, she met and married her
husband, Daryl, who has served as a pastor in churches in Nebraska, Minnesota, and North
Dakota. Beth's teaching experience includes home schooling her four children for several
years, teaching 5th grade in Christian schools, substitute teaching, and serving as an
elementary library assistant for several years.
Besides teaching music, Beth enjoys walking, knitting, and spending time with her eight
grandchildren when she has the opportunity. This is her third year at Lynwood Christian
Academy.
One of Beth's favorite passages is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do
not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your
paths straight."
