Brooke Wormington
3rd Grade
I was born in Michigan but mostly grew up in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. (We moved several times, so I spent my last 2 years of high school at Cape Central and graduated from there). I attended Southeast Missouri State University and have my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. I am also certified birth through 3rd grade special education.
I taught for 5 years in the public school system as an early childhood special education teacher in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I taught 1 year at Footprints (to spend time with my son Kash, who at the time was little bitty) and then spent 5 years in Jackson public schools, which included working as a literacy aide to help students with reading skills.
This is my first year teaching 4th grade and my first year at LCA.
My favorite Bible verses:
Philippians 4:7.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:7
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.
My husband, Joe, and I have 2 children, Haidyn (14) and Kash (8). I enjoy working out, game nights with my family, traveling to see new places, and having new experiences (adrenaline junkie!)
