Eva Mitchell

Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Ms. Mitchell was raised in North Alabama. She is a Middle Tennessee State University graduate with a B.S. degree in Special Education (K-12). She also holds an M.A.degree in Reading/Writing from Murray State University and is a certified elementary teacher as well as a reading specialist. She worked for 11 years in the public school setting in Cadiz, Kentucky. During this time God blessed her with four precious children--Hannah, Andrew, Elizabeth, & James.
Her family relocated to Missouri in 2015 when her husband accepted a ministry position with the Jackson Church of Christ. Ms. Mitchell homeschooled & worked as a contract English teacher for VIPkids until 2018. As a homeschooling parent, she was a tutor for Classical Conversations & was an active member of the Heartland Homeschool Association. She joined the Cape Christian staff in 2018 and continued teaching as the school transitioned to Lynwood Christian Academy.
She loves being outdoors, drinking iced mocha, and spending time with family. Wherever God gives opportunity to serve, teaching is both her ministry and passion. Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:8, “...Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.”
